Why no compilation charts Jan to Oct 2005?

I am about to email the feedback email address with the following:

Hi

I have noticed that some of the Compilation Charts are not displaying. If I try to click on the 'View Chart' links like in the screenshot below, the website just takes me to https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/official-compilations-chart/20050904/7503/.

The missing periods are:

Start End
28/04/2002 18/01/2004
16/01/2005 28/08/2005
11/09/2005 09/10/2005

Is there any chance that the website could be corrected?

Cheers

Hi Gareth,

Good luck - i've never had a reply from OCC - often I just get my posts deleted if the're critical in anyway!

As for these missing charts - some of the data must be there. Every now and again i'll click on a specific album's chart run - and it shows a chart position for many of the missing weeks - from that data i've updated my charts - but OCC don't seem interested in accuracy or completeness at all.

I've a long way to go to complete the missing weeks - and I'm guessing anything that was a NE and only charted in those weeks will never appear and/or isn't in their database.

I've a few other comments on your posts (which I've only just found) - i'll reply separately.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin

Good to find another person who is trying to fix the underlying data.

I also discovered that the chart runs seemed complete and the data will be there. It just seems like a problem with the links to the actual charts.

I too thought about recreating the charts using the chart run data but that would be a terribly manual laborious job.

Do you have your own dataset of all singles', albums' and compilation albums' positions on charts for all weeks going back to 1952?

Cheers

Gareth

I had a quick look at the loadsamusic forum. I've not used it before but if I can get all that data then I will set myself up once I get home.

I see loadsamusic no longer exists. Is there anywhere else I may find these spreadsheets, please?
