Warner Music Group have entered into a new licensing agreement with Vevo, meaning music videos by acts on their labels will be hosted on the site.

Previously, videos by acts signed to Warner Music Group - home to labels including Asylum, Atlantic, Fueled by Ramen, Parlophone, Reprise and Rhino - only appeared on YouTube, while visuals by artists on the other major labels (Sony and Universal) are available on both Vevo and YouTube.

The partnership follows Vevo's recent unveiling of its refreshed platform, aimed at facilitating long–term growth for the company.

"Today marks an important milestone for Vevo as we forge a new relationship with Warner Music Group based on a shared vision of putting artists first and creating a platform that does justice to the music," Erik Huggers, Vevo's CEO, said.

"We’re excited to partner with Warner Music and bring their artists’ content to life through our new mobile and web experiences and across a range of our programming."

Steve Cooper, CEO, Warner Music Group, added: "Erik and his team continue to evolve their service and bring to life a new vision for Vevo. We're pleased to have built a flexible and mutually beneficial relationship that will bring additional creative and commercial possibilities to our artists and songwriters.

"This partnership is the latest in a recent series of deals that are helping us explore ways to unlock the true value of music videos in attracting and engaging vast audiences."

Vevo's recently re-launched platform aims to create a more social experience for its users, with users now able to create their own profile either on its desktop website or on its rebooted app that will give them a more personalised experience.

The site now allows you to create a username, bio, select a photo, and allow your network to see your selections of artists and videos along with playlists that are now easier to create and edit.
