Olivia Rodrigo is heading for a fifth week at Number 1 with Drivers License as she holds comfortably at the top of the Official Chart: First Look. With 9,900 chart sales after 48 hours, she is in a strong position at this early point of the chart race.

The Business by Tiesto jumps six on the First Look to land at Number 5, potentially landing the producer his third Top 5 hit, while Riton & Nightcrawlers' Friday ft. Mufasa & Hypeman rockets 18 places after 48 hours to land at Number 8.

Further down, West London rappers Digga D & AJ Tracey could claim this week’s highest new entry at Number 16 with their collab Bringing it Back – currently the most streamed new entry of the week – though it stands only a handful of chart sales ahead of Cardi B’s new anthem Up at 17, her first release since the chart-dominating WAP in summer 2020.

Finally, the debut single from A1 x J1, Latest Trends, lands at Number 18 on the Official Chart: First Look following its official release. The track was previewed on TikTok in 2020 and proved popular with users, helping to boost visibility on the official single release.

The Official Chart: First Look, which airs on BBC Radio 1 every Sunday between 6pm – 7pm, offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

The final Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled exclusively on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm.

As it stands unless any of the big streaming acts i mentioned previously don't surprise the world soon then Drivers License is heading for double figures in weeks at the top.

What i never got is why Radio 1 charts mainly broadcasted in the afternoon (non prime time slot) they should do it in the morning (like 6-845am) for millions of extra more people tuning in, as we are a UK Charts, i think it a silly time between 4-6pm

Cardi b having more success in the USA and the UK than the amazing Doja Cat or my favorite: LIZZO is beyond me!! Cardi b has no talent whatsoever

Why did Watermelon Sugar jump so high all of a sudden

Yes I was asking the same question, maybe a show or an ad...

'Watermelon Sugar' needs to go now! It's a decent song, but it doesn't deserve this much overexposure. :/

Don't know why it's still here, and it definitely doesn't deserve to still be here. One, it's overplayed, and two, it's not the right season (I just had snow...)

Yeah, it's kind of out of season now! :P

There were actually more new entries than I expected this week, haha.

I've only heard 'Up' out of the ones here & it's still only okay, but at least it's a big improvement over 'Wap' for me! :P

Both WAP and Up are absolutely awful, also doesn’t help that I absolutely hate Cardi B but she is utter haha
I hope dance music can dominate more in the coming weeks and take over from the awful rap we’ve had for the past few years :) 👍 rap has been at an all time low and it’s about time some decent rappers were to come up however though I hope

Oh, sure, Cardi B is one of my least favourite rappers in the charts right now, but I guess 'Up' is relatively above average coming from her! :P

There hasn't been anyone worthy enough to kiss Eminem's feet this side of the millenium since.

Oh man, what an amazing week for EDM! :O

It's taking up at least half the Top 10, with 'The Business' & 'Friday' both entering the region for the first time.

'The Business' is probably one of my least favorite dance songs I've ever heard. I hate that bleak, moody, anti-club deep-house sound that's trending this year. I get that we're living in a pandemic, a time where nobody is partying, but I at least expected something more uplifting than this. Hearing music like this just depresses me.

I know a couple of other people who aren't fans of it here either! :P

As for me, while the vocals are incredibly autotuned, I think they work fairly well over the thumping bass beat & club music is among my favourite genres, so that certainly helped, haha.
