Great news for the Chainsmokers and Halsey – they've only each gone and scored their first Billboard Hot 100 Number 1!

Their collaboration Closer leapt five places to wrestle the top spot away from Sia and Sean Paul's Cheap Thrills, which had dominated the summit for a month.

Closer sold 103,000 downloads in the last week and notched up an impressive 23.1 million streams too. Not that they're greedy, but The Chainsmokers have another song oin the Top 10 – Don't Let Me Down, feat. Daya, is at Number 8 on this week's countdown.

Elsewhere on the Billboard Hot 100, Twenty One Pilots also hang on to two slots in the Top 10, with Heathens (4) and Ride (6) and Adele's Send My Love (To Your Next Lover) makes a comeback, rebounding one place to Number 10.

Over on the Billboard 200 album chart, the soundtrack to Suicide Squad goes straight in at Number 1, deposing DJ Khaled's Major Key, and there are brand new entries in the Top 10 for Skillet's Unleashed (3), compilation Now 59 (5) and DJ Snake's Encore (8).

Probably the first Chainsmokers song I actually like, but why on earth are they like the biggest dance act in the world right now? And who exactly is Halsey?
