The classic mantra of 'New Year, New Me' is impacting this week's Official Video Chart Update.
Now that the pounds have been piled on over the festive period, piles and piles of The Body Coach Joe Wicks' DVD Lean in 15 have been picked on online and high street retailers. Last week's Number 5 home entertainment release, the fitness guide is set for this week's Number 1.
Joe faces stiff competition however from Jason Statham and Jessica Alba in Mechanic: Resurrection, which has held at Number 2. Just 1,200 copies separate the two majorly contrasting entries, so the race for Sunday's official Number 1 announcement is wide open.
The Christmas Number 1 DVD/Blu-ray Suicide Squad rebounds one place to Number 3 and is followed by last week's chart topper, the adult animated comedy Sausage Party. Rounding out this week's potential Top 5 is Bad Moms, which debuted last week at Number 3.
New entries and high climbers
Following in Joe's footsteps, I'm A Celebrity's Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt's workout release Scarlett's Superslim Me rises seven places to Number 12, while Davina McCall's new release 30 Day Fat Burn rises seventeen places to Number 20. Sandwiched between those calorie burners is Nicholas Cage's Dog Eat Dog at Number 19.
There are rises for Game of Thrones' Complete Sixth Season at 22 (up eight) and Trainspotting at 24 (a rise of 25 places), and the latter of which has ascended following news of the sequel's upcoming release.
Finally, Brenda Blethyn and Jim Broadbent's Ethel & Ernest is on course for a Top 30 debut at Number 29.
