The 1975 are going on the road for a massive UK arena tour.

The Matt Healy-fronted band will play nine dates across the country in January 2019, kicking off in Belfast on January 9.

The tour ties in with the release of their forthcoming album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which is out on November 30. The collection includes the Top 40 hits Give Yourself A Try, Love It If We Made It and TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME. Look at The 1975's Official UK Chart history in full.

Two acts are supporting the shows: Manchester indie pop band Pale Waves and No Rome, a Philippine-based who Healy has described as his muse. No Rome's upcoming EP, RIP Indo Hisashi, is co-produced by Healy and fellow 1975 member George Daniel.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on 21 September 2018 at 9am.

The 1975's previous two albums have both reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. Their most recent, I Like It When You Sleep..., is one of the ten longest chart-topping album titles in UK chart history
