Taylor Swift claims first Official Streaming Chart Number 1

It’s all change at the top of the Official Streaming Chart as reigning chart queen Florence Welch is overtaken by Taylor Swift.

After four weeks on the Official Streaming Chart, the 22-year-old US singer / songwriter’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together has knocked Florence And The Machine’s Spectrum off Number 1.

The Official Streaming Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, and has been running since May. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, which reflects the increasing interest in the new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.

Sam And The Womp’s Bom Bom holds firm at Number 2, while The Script’s Hall Of Fame FT Will.I.Am, which hit Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart on Sunday, climbs 43 places to Number 3. Florence And The Machine’s Spectrum slides three places to Number 4, while Owl City FT Carly Rae Jepsen’s Good Time is up 10 places to Number 5.

New Entries And High Climbers

There are 16 new entries on this week’s Official Streaming Chart. Of those 16, 12 are from The XX’s latest album, Coexist, which debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart on Sunday. The band’s highest charting new entry is Chained at Number 35.

Flo Rida’s I Cry debuts on the Official Streaming Chart at Number 39, The KillersRunaways is at 68, while Plan B’s Deepest Shame completes this week’s new entries, entering at Number 81.

This week’s highest climber is P!nk’s Blow Me (One Last Kiss) up 62 places to Number 31, while former Official Singles Chart Number 1, Ne-Yo’s Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself), climbs 52 places to Number 18.
