Stormzy continues to own the Official Singles Chart, extending his run at Number 1 to a third week with Own It ft. Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy.

The track is Stormzy's third UK chart-topper, following 2019's Vossi Bop and Take Me Back To London (with Ed Sheeran). View Stormzy's Official Chart history in full.

yep, Dance Monkey is really still no.1. for a 3rd consecutive week so Own It has yet to really reach no.1....
Despite the official drop to 10, Dance Monkey's official 'sales' are consistent around 34,000.

It's always interesting: hardly any rap and hip-hop song is ever actually Good but manage to do well on the charts. It's ridiculous and evidence of the dumbing of the world. The thing is, everyone knows this, not just me.

yeah this modern urban rap/hip-hop dross is rubbish. Most of the tracks are just some bloke talking in an monotone voice to the same beat as all the others, no talent whatsoever; in fact I can actually do better when I'm sitting on the throne in my echoey bathroom tapping a beat on the radiator... you get me? know what I mean man! sorted! gotto go now and clean me crib you get me!!

While it's definitely not the best track from 'Heavy Is The Head', I guess I'll take 'Own It' still being #1.

That said, what I'm really excited about is 'Blinding Lights' hitting a new peak thanks to huge sales, as well as the debuts for 'Still Disappointed' & 'You Should Be Sad'! :)

Heck, with 'The Box' growing on me rapidly & 'Yummy' falling further than expected, this might actually be my favourite chart of 2020 so far (given that the first two were so bad for debuts).
