Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello heading for Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart with Senorita

The duo's steamy collaboration could become Shawn's first chart-topper.

Shawn Mendes is on the cusp of his first Number 1 single in Ireland.

The Canadian star's new song Senorita with Camila Cabello tops the Official Chart Update, a midweek glance at how Friday's final Top 50 may look.

Shawn previously reached as high as Number 2 with his breakthrough single Stitches, and has appeared in the Top 10 twice more with the Number 3-peaking There's Nothing Holding Me Back and earlier this year when If I Can't Have You topped out at Number 7.

Senorita would mark Camila Cabello's second chart-topper on Irish soil following the success of her smash hit Havana, which led the Top 5 for five consecutive weeks. Havana's follow-up Never Be The Same was the last time Camila occupied a Top 10 slot in March 2018, topping out at Number 6.

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber stand in the way of Shawn & Camila; I Don't Care has spent the last six weeks at Number 1 and is currently just 390 combined sales behind.

Don't rule out Dermot Kennedy too. After debuting at Number 4 last week with Outnumbered, the Dubliner is on track for a new peak of Number 3.
