Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines is set to smash though the half-a-million copies sales barrier after just two and a half weeks on sale!

Robin Thicke looks set to break half a million sales as Blurred Lines heading for a third week at Number 1.

The US R&B star’s track, which also features US rapper TI and N.E.R.D main man Pharrell Williams, became the fastest selling single of 2013 so far upon its release two weeks ago, and last week went on to beat its own one-week sales record by shifting a further 199,000 copies to hold onto the Number 1 spot.

The charge continues this week as Blurred Lines looks set to break through the half a million copies sales barrier by the end of this week. The UK public have scooped up an astonishing total of 480,000 in a little over two weeks since its release, up to midnight last night (Tuesday, June 11).

Meanwhile Naughty Boy and Sam Smith’s La La La holds firm at Number 2 for a third week in a row. Passenger’s Let Her Go is up one place to Number 3, while Daft Punk’s Get Lucky is at Number 4.

This week’s Top 5 is completed by Taylor Swift’s Everything Has Changed FT Ed Sheeran (5). The duo performed the track live for the first time ever during Saturday night’s (June 8) Britain’s Got Talent final.

High climbers and re-entries

Wiley clocks up the fourth Top 10 single from his latest album, The Ascent, and this week’s highest climber, with Lights On FT Angel and Tinchey Stryder. The track soars an incredible 180 places to Number 9 on today’s Official Singles Chart Update.
