Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical bounces into a third week as the UK’s Number 1 film.

Following its release on disc, the film has enjoyed an extra boost in sales this week to earn itself both the biggest digital release of the last seven days, as well as the bestseller on physical formats too.

At Number 2 for a second week is Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, finishing ahead of another non-mover, Top Gun: Maverick.

Flying up the Top 10, Elvis is back in the building at Number 4, following its huge success at the 2023 BAFTAs last week where it won four awards; Best Actor in a Leading Role (Austin Butler), Best Casting, Best Costume Design, and Best Make Up & Hair.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Minions: The Rise of Gru (5) closely followed by Jurassic World: Dominion (6) and Bullet Train, which lifts two places this week (7). Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore vaults back into the Top 10 at Number 8, while Black Adam drops three to Number 9. This week’s Number 10 is former chart-topper The Batman.

In the wider Top 20 we see two brand new entries this week. Paul Mescal and Sophie Corio star in the critically acclaimed drama Aftersun, debuting at Number 15, and biodrama She Said lands straight in at Number 19.
