Polo G’s Rapstar challenging Lil Nas X for UK Number 1 single
Polo G’s new single Rapstar is off to a strong start on this week’s Official Chart First Look, currently at Number 2 and challenging current leader Lil Nas X’s Montero (Call Me By Your Name) for Number 1.
Rapstar - produced by Synco and featuring social media star Einer Bankz on ukulele - is set to be the Chicago rapper’s highest charting headline single to date, following guest spots on KSI’s Patience and Lil Tjay’s Headshot last month.
Meanwhile, Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk’s new collaboration Anywhere Away From Here is also eyeing up a Top 10 debut, opening at Number 10 and potentially earning the British singer-songwriter his third Top 10 and P!nk her 21st.

Elsewhere in the Top 20, popular TikTok track Astronaut In The Ocean by Australian rapper Masked Wolf continues to climb, so far up five places to 13, and Ava Max’s My Head & My Heart is on course for a new peak, up five spots to 14
Finally, Doja Cat’s new single Kiss Me More SZA is in line to become her sixth UK Top 40 hit, starting at Number 19.

Pretty solid predictions. I was hoping Kiss me more will debut higher but 19 is pretty good. Congrats on Pink though,her longevity is amazing.

I hope LIL NAS X can hold on for another week to the top spot!! Hope to see ELLA, TOM , AVA MAX and the sublime but still unknown artist MIMI WEBB climb the chart..And of course DOJA CAT is unstoppable nowadays with another Top 20 under her belt (she so deserves it)...

I'm a little bit disappointed that 'Life Goes On' isn't here, but I'm really happy that 'Don't Play' is finally on the way out! It's just a shame that 'Patience' is falling away with it too. :/

elsewhere, i don’t mind montero still atop the charts, but i hope it doesn’t stay there forever or else i’ll be bored of it. i love the new doja cat song with sza, but i really don’t like let’s go home together entering the top 10 at all.

YES!!! so happy that polo g has finally got his first top 10 hit as a lead artist! this totally makes up for martin & gina missing the top 40!
while it’s not his best song (it’s still a decent 8/10 though), i’ve wanted this to happen since i first heard pop out in 2019. i hope this is number 1 on friday, because it’s great! 😻
