Pharrell Williams joins BRIT Awards 2014 line-up

The chart-topping US singer and producer is set to join Arctic Monkeys, Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding at next month’s ceremony.

Pharrell Williams is the latest act to be confirmed for this year’s BRIT Awards.

The US singer and producer, who is currently Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with his latest hit Happy, will join Arctic Monkeys, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Bastille, Rudimental and Ellie Goulding, who are all set to perform at next month’s ceremony.

"I always look forward to seeing the artists that come together on the BRITs stage,” said Pharrell. “ I'm so humbled by this opportunity; performing at the awards will be surreal."

The BRIT Awards 2014 will take place on February 19, at London’s O2 Arena, and will be broadcast live on ITV. You can see the full list of this year’s BRIT Awards nominees, here.

In related news, Happy has sold over 600,000 copies in the UK and was certified platinum by British music industry trade body, The BPI, this morning. Pharrell also featured on the two biggest selling singles of 2013, Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines and Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, which have both sold over a million copies.
