Pete Tong is leading today's Official Albums Chart Update.

Classic House sees legendary Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, together with conductor Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra, bring to life a set list of Ibiza classics including Faithless' Insomnia and Shapeshifters' Lola's Theme. Artists lending their guest vocals on the album include the likes Katy B, Ella Eyre and John Newman.

Classic House - which has so far peaked at Number 2 - is outselling its nearest rival by over 3,000 copies midweek ahead of Mike Oldfield with his 26th studio album Return to Ommadawn (2).

Pete has previously featured prominently on the Official Compilations Chart on over a dozen occasions, but Classic House marks his first time charting on the main Official Albums Chart. Released eight weeks ago, the album has rocketed in popularity in recent weeks thanks to live shows at The O2 Arena and an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

New entries and high climbers

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ second album Modern Ruin starts at Number 4, just ahead of grime artist Loyle Carner at Number 10 on today’s update with his debut album Yesterday's Gone.
