Halt any plans you had for New Year's Eve and get yourselves down to the River Thames - the BBC have announced the headliners of their incredible concert to ring in 2018.

Nile Rodgers and Chic will perform classic hits to usher in a new year, following in the footsteps of Robbie Williams who delivered his trademark songs to a breathtaking firework display last year.

"This is a great way to end our 40th year in a spectacular fashion and kick off a new year that will start with the release of the first new Chic music in years and the new album," explained Nile.

He continued: "How cool is this? I get to play before *boom* the fireworks go off, and then I get to play into the New Year, so I get to play both years in the same location. Yo Einstein, I'll be defying time!"

The likes of Gary Barlow, Bryan Adams and Queen + Adam Lambert have performed on New Year's Eve Live since gigs from Westminster Central Hall were added to the broadcast in 2013. The show airs on BBC One, while Jools Holland's Annuall Hootenanny airs across BBC Two. Either way, you're in for a brilliant night of music.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale on Friday November 24th.
