Brendan O'Carroll's formidable matriarch, Mrs Brown, proves no match for 007 in Official Video Chart battle.

Series 3 of Mrs Brown’s Boys has failed to budge Skyfall from the top of the Official Video Chart.

The latest instalment of the James Bond franchise, and third Bond film to star Daniel Craig, remains at Number 1 for a third week, while Mrs Brown’s Boys debuts at Number 2.

Ben Affleck’s Argo is new in at Number 3, followed by the second series of Game Of Thrones at Number 4. This week’s Official Video Chart Top 5 is completed by Disney’s Brave, which soars 33 places from Number 38 to Number 5.

New Entries

In addition to Mrs Brown’s Boys Series 3 (Number 2), Argo (Number 3) and Game Of Thrones Complete Second Season (Number 4) there are four other new entries on this week’s Official Video Chart.

Gambit, director Michael Hoffman’s remake of the 1966 comedy of the same name, which stars Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz and Alan Rickman, enters the Official Video Chart at Number 9. Dutch violinist Andre Rieu’s 25th anniversary concert film, Happy Birthday, debuts at Number 18, while Game Of Thrones Complete Seasons 1&2 (Number 21) and Gary Barlow Live (35) complete this week’s Official Video Chart new entries.

Mrs Brown’s Boys Series 3 is Number 1 on both the Official DVD Chart and Official TV On Video Chart, and Game Of Thrones Complete Second Season is Number 1 on the Official Blu-Ray Chart.

Andre Rieu’s Happy Birthday is the top selling title on the Official Music Video Chart, while Gary Barlow’s Live debuts at Number 3 on the Chart.
