Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman's London Has Fallen is doing the very opposite to what its name suggests, and is rising towards a Number 1.

Today's Official Video Chart Update reveals that 75,000 DVDs and Blu-rays of the action thriller have been sold at the midweek stage, enabling it to outsell the rest of the Top 10 combined.

The film is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, which peaked at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart in 2013 with sales of 147,000 in its first week. A special double edition package of both movies is new in at Number 5 as of today's halfway marker.

Last week's Number 2 Kung Fu Panda 3 holds firm (2), former Number 1 Allegiant drops to Number 3, and horror The Witch looks to make a big splash at Number 4 in its first week.

New entries and high climbers

Tom Hiddlestone's latest home release High Rise is a new entry at Number 7, and Finding Nemo catapults 102 places to Number 10 in preparation for the UK release of the film's sequel Finding Dory.
