Keanu Reeves' John Wick: Chapter 2 leading an action-packed Official Video Chart Update

Keanu Reeves is no stranger to a smash hit, and his latest movie looks to become his next on the Official Video Chart.

Each and every Sunday, the best-selling DVD and Blu-ray releases of the week are compiled, and in today's Update, we're giving you a sneak peek of how the standings could look this weekend at 5:45pm.

John Wick: Chapter 2, the latest action thriller from Keanu Reeves has a small lead in today's Chart Update, leaving Sunday's final placings wide open. Just 4,000 units separate John Wick 2 at Number 1 with The Great Wall at Number 2, Matt Damon's latest American/Chinese epic.

Should John Wick: Chapter 2 hold onto its lead and secure the top spot on this week's chart, it will be the first of the franchise to reach Number 1. The prequel, released in 2014, peaked at Number 3. Back to 2017 and a box set of both John Wick movies is bound for Number 16 this week.

Also in this week's Top 5 is Resident Evil: The Final Chapter which is a potential new entry at Number 3. The Complete Collection of Resident Evil is also aiming for the Top 40, and is as high as Number 38 as of today's sales flash.

New entries and high climbers

Brit flick The Hatton Garden Job is comfortable in today's Top 10 at Number 6, while My Name is Lenny, featuring the final movie role of the late John Hurt, is expected to hit Number 13.

Finally, four more new entries could crash into the Top 40, judging by today's midweek figures: The Founder at Number 21, Fences (23), Joel Edgerton's Loving (31) and The Mummy Trilogy (37).
