Katy Perry is making her way into a video game, and she's releasing a new song to mark occasion.

Perry will release Immortal Flame on December 12, a tie-in to her appearance in the mobile video game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Katy's likeness will appear in the fantasy game beginning this week for a limited time.

The game's developers Square Enix have released a trailer for Katy's upcoming downloadable content, which features Katy perform part of Immortal Flame before being transformed into her virtual counterpart. Listen to a lengthy snippet of the song below.

Ariana Grande previously appeared in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, while Leona Lewis' song My Hands appeared in Final Fantasy XIII.

Final Fantasy is not the first video game Katy has worked on. Katy appeared in The Sims 3, singing her smash hit Last Friday Night in the fictional Simlish language.

Immortal Flame is Katy's second one-off single in the last few weeks, following the release of her Amazon Music exclusive festive song Cozy Little Christmas.

Sounds amazing! Only available to listen to in-game though but I hope it's released on more platforms.
