Justin Bieber looks set to topple himself from Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart, as Love Yourself overtakes Sorry on today’s Official Chart Update.

The Canadian star continues to dominate with three tracks in the midweek Top 5; Love Yourself (1), Sorry (2) and What Do You Mean (4).

These three entries in the Top 5 marked a rare feat in the Official Chart history books two weeks ago, being the first living artist to achieve the accolade in 34 years, since John Lennon in January 1981.

Elsewhere in the Top 5, Adele’s Hello is at Number 3, and Fleur East’s Sax is at 5.

New entries and high climbers

Following Lauren Murray’s powerful performance of Leslie Gore’s 1963 classic You Don’t Own Me on this weekend’s X Factor – which helped her to stay in the competition – Grace and G-Easy’s version of the song (released in June) is on track to make its Top 40 debut, shooting up a massive 38 places, from 44 to 6.

Olly Murs’ Kiss Me continues to scale the chart and could be entering this week’s Top 10 for the first time, currently at 9, and Coldplay’s Adventure Of A Lifetime climbs seven spots to Number 16.

Also in today’s Official Chart Update Top 40, production duo 99 Souls leap 17 places to 26 with Girl Is Mine ft. Destiny’s Child and Brandy, Craig David could be entering the Top 40 for the first time in 7 years with his comeback track When The Bassline Drops ft Big Narstie (Number 32).

Finally, Robin Schulz and Yates' Sugar (34), Sigma and Rita Ora's Coming Home (35) and Coldplay's Everglow (38) are all heading for this week's Top 40.

WOW! Justin is taking over the British charts! It's amazing considering that the past six years or so Justin never really was a dominant force on the British music charts so this is great news and shows how much his fan base has grown this year in the U.K... For Justin to repeat having 3 singles in the top 5 two weeks in a row and to actually replace one of his singles "Sorry" with another single "Love Yourself" is an amazing feat onto itself and I wonder when the last time this actually happened when a music artist replaced themselves at #1 with two different singles back to back?

"First male to achieve it in 34 years" - why, did any female artist achieve the same? When? Who?

Where did you see that? Do you mean Justin tied a record held by John Lennon 34 years ago and that was having 3 singles in the top 5 in the U.K.?

In this arcticle above it says "These three entries in the Top 5 marked a rare feat in the Official Chart history books two weeks ago, being the first male artist to achieve the accolade in 34 years, since John Lennon in January 1981." I wonder why they say he's the first MALE artist to do this. Was there a female artist who was in the Top 5 with three singles simultaneously in those 34 years?
