Welcome to the Jungle! We've got fun and games on the Official Video Chart Update this week.

Today's midweek DVD & Blu-ray chart sales flash sees Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sitting a pole position, having shifted 119,000 units in its first three days on sale. 100,000 copies ahead of the movie in the Number 2 slot, the Dwayne Johnson epic is currently outselling the rest of the Top 20 titles combined.

The action-comedy is all but certain to claim the Number 1 spot on Sunday's final Official Video Chart, and if it does, it will reach a higher peak than the original Jumanji did. In November 1996, the original movie starring Robin Williams peaked at Number 4 behind Toy Story, Trainspotting and The X Files: File 6 - Master Plan.

Elsewhere in the Top 5, Star Wars: The Last Jedi holds at Number 2, last week's chart-topper Pitch Perfect 3 slides to Number 3, and Christian Bale western Hostiles is a new entry at 4.

New entries and high climbers

Braven starring Jason Momoa is new at Number 11, three positions ahead of the original Jumanji movie, which rockets 98 positions to Number 14. Russell Crow classic Gladiator is also set for a Top 40 return this week at Number 16 after being released in 4K.

World War II themed The Resistance is a new entry at Number 26 today, while Avengers Assemble flies back into the Top 40 at 34 following the cinematic release of its latest sequel Infinity War.

Finally, Season 2 of the Shannara Chronicles may just sneak into the Top 40 at Number 36.

The Official Video Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Sunday at 7pm. Click here to see the latest Top 100.
