Is Professor Green on course for a second week at Number 1?

Going into the weekend, it looks as if Professor Green may be on course to spend a second week at the top of the Official Singles Chart.

His track, ‘Read All About It’ (Ft. Emeli Sande), debuted at Number 1 on Sunday’s chart, but was knocked into second place in Wednesday’s Official Singles Chart Update by former X Factor contestant Cher Lloyd with ‘With Ur Love' (Ft. Mike Posner). Now with just a few thousand sales between them and two shopping days to go, this is shaping up to be one of the closest fought chart battles of the year.

Over on the Official Albums Chart, things remain largely unchanged from Wednesday’s Official Charts Update with Florence And The Machine’s ‘Ceremonials’ in pole position, last week’s Number 1 album, Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ at Number 2, and Professor Green’s second album, ‘At Your Inconvenience’ holding firm at Number 3.
