God Save The Queen will be released for the first time ever as a single on Sunday (May 27) in honour of Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The United Kingdom’s National Anthem is performed by blind soprano Lissa Hermans, and proceeds from the single will go to the Chickenshed Theatre Trust.

Lissa had the privilege to perform her version of the National Anthem in front of Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace last month.

“It was a wonderful experience and a privilege to perform for The Queen,” said Lissa. “It was completely nerve-racking, but after the performance, I met Her Majesty who told me that she thoroughly enjoyed my performance. I am delighted that the song will finally be released as a single.”
