The cast of Fifty Shades Freed will be loving this - the romance trilogy's final chapter is set for Number 1 on the UK's Official Video Chart.

Rounding up sales of DVDs and Blu-rays since last Sunday's new release day, today's Official Chart Update sees the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan drama sit pretty at Number 1, having racked up 76,000 sales so far this week.

Should Fifty Shades Freed hold onto the Number 1 spot by the end of the week, it will mark the third movie in the franchise to top the chart. Fifty Shades of Grey spawned the most first week sales (521,000), while Fifty Shades Darker had the longest reign at the top spot, with two weeks.

In addition to the standalone newest movie in the trilogy, a box set of all three movies is also charting this week at Number 5.

New entries and high climbers

Academy Award nominee Phantom Thread - possible the final movie performance of Daniel Day Lewis - is a new entry at Number 7, while further down, there's a huge climb of 22 places for Sicario (23); starring Benicio Del Toro, the movie's sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado hits cinemas next week.

Finally, The Last House on the Left (28), Redemption: The Last Outlaw (39) and Xtro (40) could also impact this week's Top 40.
