She's kept us waiting quite a while, but it looks like Emeli Sandé is about to make her big comeback.

Emeli, whose debut album Our Version Of Events was released way back in 2012, teased a brand new track, Intermission, on her Twitter account late on Thursday evening – and it looks like it's on its way pretty soon. September, to be exact.

There's no word on whether the version teased in the tweet, which features Emeli's vocals over a haunting organ, will be the version that gets released in September, but it sounds like Emeli has another classic ballad on her hands.

Emeli's first album Our Version Of Events was the biggest selling album of 2012 and she has scored 11 Top 10 hits. Two of those Top 10s went to Number 1: Read All About It, with Professor Green (2011) and Beneath Your Beautiful, with Labrinth (2012).

I've got a feeling that this album will contain a lot of social angst that the charts simply isn't ready for. Her previous album was incredible but had many typical pop songs, the music industry is moving into more dance tunes whilst emeli is evolving into a more spiritual and intelligent artist with a sharp understanding of the world. I think that's what we'll get from the album and I have no doubt that it will reach number 1, I just feel that her singles may not perform as well as they should. "Another one" for example is a song about police brutality and "don't fight the bullet" about resisting violence- written in a time where people only want to rave. I have high hopes for the album and I'll love it, I just hope it lives up to expectations and she breaks the world market as she deserves.
