Doctor Strange using his superpowers on this week's Official Video Chart Update

The Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton flick looks likely to hit Number 1 this Sunday.

The Ancient One would be proud! Doctor Strange is blockbusting its way to Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.

Today's Official Video Chart Update is tracking the physical sales of DVDs and Blu-rays across the UK since Sunday, with the Marvel movie notching up a whopping 138,000 units in just four days of sale. This figure means that the Benedict Cumberbatch epic is outselling the rest of the Top 20 combined.

Last week's Number 1 Jack Reacher: Never Go Back drops a spot to Number 2, Trolls holds firm at Number 3, A Street Cat Named Bob falls two places to Number 4, and Finding Dory swims its way 29 ranks up to Number 5 due to a special two for one Disney online offer.

New entries and high climbers

A plethora of Disney releases makes their returns to the Top 40 this week, the next highest being Beauty & The Beast, which rises a staggering 114 places compared to last week's chart to Number 8. Zootropolis is up 105 places to Number 11, while The Jungle Book propels 153 places to Number 17. 

Other Disney movies expected to return to the Top 40 include: Tangled (18), The Good Dinosaur (19), The Little Mermaid (25), Inside Out (26), The Lion King (27), Frozen (29), Pete's Dragon (32), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (33), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (37), and the animated original The Jungle Book (40).

Away from Disney, Justice League Dark is new at 14 after 96 hours on sale, In A Valley of Violence lands at 23, and Series Four of Australian period drama A Place To Call Home is expecting to make it into the Top 40 at 34.

Finally, Shirley Maclaine and Jessica Lange comedy Wild Oats is aiming to just squeeze in the Top 40 and is at 39 today.
