Are Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa trying to break a world record for the longest smooch? The duo at set for a sixth week at Number 1 with One Kiss.

5,000 combined chart sales (downloads and streams) ahead of their nearest rivals on today's Official Chart Update, six weeks at the top would equal the number of weeks that Calvin spent at Number 1 with We Found Love with Rihanna from 2011.

Elsewhere in the midweek Top 5, Anne-Marie advances one place with 2002 to Number 4, plus Ella Eyre could claim her first Top 5 single in over three years; Answerphone with Banx & Ranx ft. Yxng Bane climbs two rungs to Number 5.

New entries and high climbers

David Guetta & Sia continue to scale the Official Chart, up three to Number 6, while Jess Glynne could net her 10th UK Top 10 single with I'll Be There, currently at 7, a rise of six positions.

Clean Bandit's new single Solo featuring Demi Lovato could claim the highest new entry this week at Number 13, and there are big climbers for M-22 & Medina's First Time (25) and Years & Years' If You're Over Me (26).

Korean boyband BTS are on the cusp of their first UK Top 40 single with Fake Love at Number 28, plus Man Down by Shakka ft. AlunaGeorge has the potential to hit a new high of Number 33.

Finally, fresh from being featured in the Sony Bravia TV advert, there's a second wind for Tom Walker's Leave A Light On, currently at Number 36.

I honestly can't see how Calvin's average song is still at #1

Think it's more to do with dua than Calvin to be fair, the first single from his next album didn't even hit top 40 and dua is on a massive popularity with her music right now

Another boring week with the same song at the top. Yawn...

This is definitely shaping up to be an interesting chart! :)
'One Kiss' is looking set to become Calvin Harris' longest #1 single, but I'm very happy to see 'I'll Be There' keep climbing for Jess Glynne & expected to hit the Top 10 on Friday.
It would be so cool to see BTS in the Official Charts next week!

No Piran it would definitely not be cool to see BTS in the charts - really can’t see any appeal to K-Pop. But would be good if Tom Walker could cling on to a Top 40 place.

Hey Candog! :)
I never used to care for K-Pop either, but it's really been growing on me recently.
Yeah, it would be nice to see 'Leave A Light On' in the Top 40. It would be a good chart comeback, given that it peaked at #41 a few weeks ago & seemed to drop hard from then.

How is it interesting? The exact same song is still hogging the top spot. If the same song is #1 for too long (especially if it's a song that I don't really care about), the rest of the chart just doesn't matter.

Yeah, I wish there'd be a bit of movement inside the Top 3, but the #1 only really bothers me if I don't like it & it's had more than say two months at #1.
Don't you care about the new songs entering the Top 10 each week, or the debuts further down the chart?

Is about time Tom Walker's leave a light on got a decent chart position. Not into the remix much but I guess something had to be done, even my auntie loves the track and it's been huge all over Europe. Also buzzing flames gaining plenty of momentum hope it keeps climbing Sia's song writing is exceptional as ever here. Also liking jess glynne getting in the top ten hopefully

Yeah, I'm surprised that 'Leave A Light On' did way better in Europe than it has in the UK so far. You never know though, that was the same for 'Be The One' & 'Human', look at how well they did eventually.
There's a remix to that song? Who by?

Not sure but heard it on the radio today and it's just not got the same depth as the original, vocals are all the same but the music has changed and sounds in best way I can describe tinny

I doubt BTS will hold on as they have a relatively small fan base in the UK so they may drop as everyone who likes it has downloaded it. So it would need a lot of streams.

The remix is by cheat codes, I prefer the original personally but if its finally going to make the track a success over here I won't complain
