Britney Spears names new album

Britney Spears has revealed that her eighth album will be titled Britney Jean, and she has also confirmed the UK release date of new single Work Bitch.

Britney Spears has confirmed that her upcoming eight studio album will be titled Britney Jean.

The US singer broke the news about the much anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Femme Fatale during a radio interview this morning (Tuesday, October 15).

"It's a personal album, and all my family, they always call me Britney Jean,” said Britney. “It's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans."

Britney Jean will be released in the UK on December 2, and it will be preceded by her forthcoming single, Work Bitch on November 3.

Britney has been working with British producers such as William Orbit (Madonna, Blur, All Saints) and Naughty Boy (Emeli Sande, Leona Lewis, Tinie Tempah) as well as Titanium singer Sia Furler on the album. Black Eyed Peas mainman Will.I.Am who is acting as Britney Jean’s executive producer. The pair’s previous collaboration, Scream And Shout, topped the Official Singles Chart earlier this year, and is one of the Top 20 biggest selling singles of 2013 so far.
