It looks like it’ll be good news for Blossoms this week; their self-titled debut album is on course to enter at Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart.

The indie-rock band, who hail from Stockport, have a healthy lead of just over 7,000 combined sales at the halfway stage of the chart week.

Behind them at Number 2 is a new entry from Giggs. The London rapper’s fourth album Landlord is on course to be his highest charting yet after 2013’s Number 21-peaking When Will It Stop.

Currently at Number 6 are Kent-based band Moose Blood with their second album Blush, and just outside the Top 10 at 11 is Elvis Presley’s Way Down In The Jungle Room – a definitive collection of his final ever studio recordings.

US Southern rock group The Cadillac Three are new at 14 with Bury Me In My Boots, American rockers Dinosaur Jr. start at 15 with Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not, and Lady In Gold by Swedish quartet Blue Pills enters at 16.

Finally, Dead Daisies’ Make Some Noise (18), Skillet’s Unleashed (22) and DJ Snake’s Encore (34) could all be earning a place in this week’s Top 40.
