Following in the footsteps of specials on Adele and Michael Buble, the BBC has announced that a one-off broadcast dedicated to Harry Styles is airing this Autumn.

Harry Styles at the BBC is a world exclusive one hour event in the style of the previous two 'at the BBC' showcases featuring Adele and Michael Buble. Harry's close friend, presenter Nick Grimshaw will host the show, following on from Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman who each hosted one of the previous broadcasts.

The show will be taped in Manchester on August 30, and fans who want a piece of the action can apply to sit in the audience until 11:59pm today. The show will follow in the format of the previous two, with live performances from Harry, plus interviews and sketches.

“Harry is a great performer and full of so many wonderful stories about his extraordinary career, which he'll be sharing with us," Nick Grimshaw said. "I can't wait for this show!”

Guy Freeman, Editor of Special Events and Formats at BBC Studios continued: “These shows are all about creating a world in which superstars like Harry feel incredibly comfortable and alongside their brilliant, live performances, can simply have fun and enjoy revealing more of themselves to viewers than is ever normally possible.”

It has also been revealed that Harry will be performing some tracks from his debut album that he has never performed live on TV before. Harry's solo career has gotten off to a huge start; his debut single Sign Of The Times went straight in at Number 1, and his self-titled album topped the Official Albums Chart, and the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

Harry will have an even busier autumn with his sold out UK tour dates set for October and November. Following those smaller shows, Harry will embark on a six-date UK arena tour next year.

Look out for the show when it hits screens in November. In the meantime, why not check out Harry Styles' artist hub?

He's hardly got the personality or solo career of the likes of Buble and Adele to justify this.
