Bastille are set to keep the Number 1 spot on this week’s Official Albums Chart with their latest record Wild World.

At the halfway stage of the chart week, the band are fending off competition from Led Zeppelin’s Complete BBC Sessions album – a collection of the group’s five live sessions recorded in 1969 – to hold their place at the top.

We caught up with Bastille at their pop-up shop in London last week to talk about the record. Watch below:

Meanwhile, Skepta’s Konnichiwa is surging back towards the Top 10 after bagging the 2016 Mercury Prize last week. Currently up 44 places to Number 9 on today’s update, the record has seen at 50% combined sales uplift since his win. Konnichiwa entered the Official Albums Chart at Number 2 when it was released back in May.

New entries and high climbers

Usher is on course to notch up his sixth UK Top 10 album on this Friday’s Official Chart with his eighth studio collection Hard II Love, currently at 6, and British folk singer Seth Lakeman is just behind at 7 with Ballads Of The Broken Few.

Shakin’ Stevens looks set to make his return to the Official Albums Chart for the first time in 11 years this week with his 12th studio album Echoes Of Our Times (12), Ian Hunter & The Rant Band are heading for a personal best with Fingers Crossed (22), and British alt-rockers Young Guns start at 23 with Echoes.

Finally, five more albums could each earn themselves a place in this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 40: Sam Bailey’s Sing My Heart Out (26), Die Antwoord’s Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid (27), Deap Vally’s Femejism (32), Keaton Henson’s Kindly Now (37), Steven Wilson’s Transience (40).
