Bastille talk success of new album Wild World: "People don't really care about genre anymore"

We sat down with Dan, Kyle, Chris and Will to talk about their new album and what's next for the band.

This week saw Bastille successfully sidestep the sophomore slump as their second album Wild World sailed to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. 

The record sees the band step up on the eclecticism of 2013's Bad Blood, incorporating a whole myriad of sounds that swing between grinding electronics, towering indie-rock choruses and even the occasional bit of hip-hop.

Add to that it's lyrical references to gangsters, books for the 1950s and current affairs, and you've got, as they describe it, a "weird, mad, alternative pop record". 

We sat down with Dan, Kyle, Chris and Will to find out more about the album and what's next for the band. Watch below:
