Amazon Music Original reveals new Christmas songs for 2023 from Sam Ryder, Anne-Marie and Jorja Smith

Sam Ryder, Anne-Marie and Jorja Smith will all be ringing in the festive season with a set of brand new Christmas songs for Amazon Music. 

In a now annual tradition - which has seen artists from Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello to Jess Glynne and Maisie Peters take part - Amazon Music will be issuing a series of festive tracks, and has attracted three British stars to do the inaugural honours for 2023. 

And two of these brand new songs - available to stream exclusively via Amazon Music from 1pm today (November 7) - will be entirely original too, accompanying the release of a new film, Your Christmas or Mine 2, on Prime Video.

Eurovision 2022 hero (and UK Number 1 album artist, thank you very much) Sam Ryder has contributed the original composition You're Christmas To Me, while Anne-Marie (who recently claimed her highest-peaking UK album with Unhealthy this year) has written a brand new song called Christmas Without You.

On what we can expect from You're Christmas To Me, Sam Ryder said: "Imagine blasting through the sky on a runaway sleigh with a skin full of mulled wine next to the big red guy…That’s my Christmas song.”

Anne-Marie added: "'Christmas Without You' holds a special place in my heart, and I'm thrilled to share my Amazon Original version with the world. This song is a reminder that the most precious gift during Christmas is the presence of loved ones."

Meanwhile, West Midlands R&B savant Jorja Smith (who just released her accomplished second album, falling of flying, will be covering a proper Christmas classic, putting her own spin on East 17's Stay Another Day (!). 

On covering the festive staple, Jorja Smith said: ""I had a lot of fun putting my own unique spin on this timeless Christmas classic… Hope you all enjoy it!”

Amazon Music's Christmas Originals have slowly become a staple of the festive music season in the UK. Let's not forget that in 2019, Ellie Goulding scored her third UK Number 1 single (and the last Number 1 of the decade!) with River. The Joni Mitchell cover was an Amazon Music Original.
