WOMBATS

The Wombats are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 2003 by Matthew Murphy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass, backing vocals, keyboards), and Dan Haggis (drums, backing vocals, keyboards). Their debut studio album, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, was released in 2007 containing the Top 40 hit songs Backfire At The Disco, Moving To New York and Let’s Dance To Joy Division, the latter of which won the award for Best Dancefloor Filler at the NME Awards in 2008. The Wombats have had four Top Five albums, including their first Official Album Chart Number 1, 2022’s Fix Yourself, Not the World.
