THE BEATLES 1962-1966
by BEATLES
The Beatles - 1962-1966 (more commonly known as The Red Album) is a compilation album, released in tandem with The Blue Album (1967-1970), containing The Beatles' greatest hits from the early part of their career.
Spanning from debut single Love Me Do to 1966's Yellow Submarine from the experimental Revolver, The Red Album charts the rise of The Beatles as the most influential pop band of all time.
Despite the band seeing success with cover versions during the early part of their career, The Red Album contains only original compositions on its track list, and also omits any tracks written by George Harrison, as it is comprised entirely of Lennon-McCartney tracks.
