Bumblebee flies into Number 1 on downloads only. The Transformers prequel starring Hailee Steinfeld zooms straight into the top spot in its first week, ahead of previous Number 1 Mary Poppins Returns (2) by more than 5,000 units.

In 1987, Bumblebee is on the run following the Transformers’ defeat by the Decepticons during a war on Cybertron. Sent to protect earth, the robot finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town, transforming into a yellow Volkswagon Beetle. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) discovers him, battle-scarred and broken, and revives him – quickly discovering this is no ordinary VW bug.

Avengers: Infinity War enjoys a second week at Number 3 following the cinematic release of its final chapter Endgame; with Avengers: Assemble and Avengers: Age of Ultron rising to 19 and 20 on this week’s chart.

This week’s Official Film Chart online show features a sneak peek of M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero finale Glass, which is available to download and keep from May 13.
