Streaming should not be counted in the charts the only legitimate charts to me are the sales charts.

A band with a strong fan base could realease a single and their fans could buy it on itunes and play it loads but all that counts is the sale, meanwhile a single from a less popular singer with more casual listeners would be more likely to be streamed on spotify where every 300 streams counts as a sale. See the problem?

Real sales were relatively good this week compared with some weeks with the top 3 selling at least 5,864 copies each....

How can Harry Styles' "As It Was" still be number 1 on the Singles Chart when Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" is higher on all of the component charts (streaming, sales, and downloads)??? It doesn't make sense. In fact, Kate Bush is number 1 on streaming and downloads, and number 3 on sales, whereas Styles is number 6 on sales). Are these charts just completely made up?

ACR. Songs that have been on the chart for more than 9 weeks and had three consecutive weeks of decline in streams since week 6 have their streaming ratios halved. If they are more than 3 years old then they are automatically on ACR. ACR was introduced in 2017. While Kate 'sold' 83,613 units, her official 'sales' are only 44,739 (compared to Harry's 55,768) so that is why she is officially no.2 - though in actuality no.1.
