Official Singles Chart on 18/6/2021

I heard both early (I’ll give y’all a source if you want), and both were how I expected. 😩

Tyler’s was an 8/10, Flower Boy slightly beats it out I think, but it’s definitely second place. :)

Doja’s was like a 6/10, it got kinda boring for me to be honest. At least Kiss Me More and ESPECIALLY Get Into It are amazing.

yeah, flower boy will always be tyler’s best album. his new one was more consistent, whereas doja’s was all over the place in scores.

speaking of doja, there are some tracks on there i found annoying delivery-wise, but there are some bangers, especially kiss me more and you right. the production is mostly awesome throughout too.

She is so underrated in the UK..I am glad she has massive success in Australia..She released so many great singles after DANCE MONKEY but none of them charted in the UK or even entered the UK chart!! shame really, she is a great artist...

Yeah perhaps the UK should give a try at taking a new direction with the eurovision entry next time. We always seem to cater for the euro market and copy styles of previous where we should throw just a great tune, maybe a banging edm tune or a serious rap track, probably still get nil points 😂 but can always hope.

I think we'll at least get some points if we try something eccentric, but yeah, we'll probably still be near the bottom! :P

Unless something changes, and quickly, we'll always be new the bottom for years to come 😩😩 And you can say what you want about the politics in that contest as well.

We tried a serious rap track in '95 (back when we had a chance of winning). It performed as you'd expect. We tried a less serious rap track in 06 (I think) wasn't much better. It might even have been worse.

I'm loving that rock is very tentatively dipping it's little toe into the chart again, but it still seems a way off returning as these are all definitely more 'pop' than 'rock'. Good 4 U has really grown on me, and Willow is starting to, but I can't stand that Måneskin thing :-/ With the exception of Bring Me The Horizon, it's been a loooooong time since there was a decent rock hit. Here's hoping the tide has turned a bit, though. It certainly has with dance as there's some awesome dance stuff around at the moment :-)

I can kind of agree with 'Good 4 U' (I think some people class it as pop-rock because it's effectively a watered-down version of 'Misery Business'), but 't r a n s p a r e n t s o u l' & 'I Wanna Be Your Slave' absolutely fit the genre!
