Gee so the number one album sold 48,000 with all kinds of usage counted, and went straight in there. My old man wrote a song on a 1988 album by MOR artist, Daniel O' Donnell. It had over 100,000 advance sales.. and went in at number 92, going to 56! That's how high the sales bar was. 30 years on, the record industry is broken.

"TALK IS CHEAP" by KEITH RICHARDS already charted at its original release in 1988 (and peaked at 37 in the UK, according to Wikipedia) .
