thriller spent about a year and a half in the top 10 back in 1982-1984 (early that year) i believe adele topped him by just 1 week.

Yes, a few.

Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Blondie and Debbie Harry. Pet Shop Boys, etc et al.

Sadly radio rejects them due to ageism. Hopefully this will change one day.
