good week for rock music this week, with new entries for Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder, Sum 41 and Placebo. makes a nice change from all the which is normally on the chart

Just a shame that there was so many great band releasing albums in one week, that Placebo didnt make the top 20

It goes to show the album charts is better than the boring singles chart. Most of these artists can't get into the top 100 singles charts these days but albums are more important.

Yes, I agree with you 100 percent. Mark W. It would be nice if Barry Gibb's recent single In The Now had charted in the singles chart but it little chance because streaming dominates 'sales' and is aimed at younger music fans. The singles chart is pretty much a no-go-area for anyone that had a chart hit before 2000!
