Official Albums Chart on 1/1/2016

Does anyone know why in the BBC Top 40 Album Charts the total number of weeks for most of the older albums vary quite dramatically from the figures quoted here?
For example Abba Gold has 1032 weeks (733 on this chart) The Beatles 1 407 weeks (113), ELO All Over The World 287 weeks (95), Oasis Time Flies 247 (126)

Arctic Monkeys have spent 121 consecutive weeks in the top 100 with AM. Great achievement for a band that's still signed to an independent label. Guess Alex Turner was right about 'that rock and roll' hey?

Hmm, is 68 really Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits. Very odd that the Very Best Of should disappear and Greatest Hits would appear.

Strange that Fleur East's debut has sold poorer than Ben Haenow's considering it was fueled by a much higher selling single "Sax" compared to Ben's "Second Hand Heart" which didn't even go silver unlike Fleur's top three single.

Come on 25, just drop, no-one likes the album any more...

Less get a natalie cole album back in the charts on ere, so sad she died innit.

Oh my word, even a world tour and the Xmas
sales boost cannot get 'Rebel Heart' back into
Top 100 albums. Such an underrated album.
Madonna should release 'Joan Of Arc' or
'Rebel Heart' to re-ignite some much-needed
album publicity!!!
