Oh My God - yet further proof that the charts of the 2000s mean nothing to me - and most other people I'm sure. Quasimodo is back in at number one?!!!! How many albums did he have to sell to get there this time? 500?? The last few months we have seen endless top ten entries which have all steamed in at numbers 1-8..... I've lost count of how many times 8 of the top 10 have been new entries at any given week. Just the other week Radiohead stormed back up the chart from 85 to number 5 and then the following week fell back down to 70 - making both the biggest jump and the biggest drop in their entire album career in the process. What caused that to happen??

Maybe they should just put all the greatest hits and cover albums in the compilations chart, its part of the reason most artists avoid releasing anything around Christmas.

That's because today's music can't hold a stick to the greats of the past.
