Of course one cannot really compare one era with another. In Elvis' day he did not have the advantage of downloading or streaming to boost his chart positions.

But he did have the advantage of a twice as long career as The Beatles to make albums, far less quality control than Kate Bush or The Beatles - come to think of it even Elvis Presley fans wouldn't think his albums were that good or worth comparing with any of the others' albums.

Elvis' fans love his albums as I do. He is much more popular worldwide than The Beatles, especially in the UK where his last three albums have outsold The Beatles last three. Further, Elvis latest album 'If I Can Dream' has sold 1,037,422 units (approx.) in 6 months and was No.1 for 2 weeks. The last time The Beatles had a No.1 album was about 15 years ago. Elvis holds nearly all the UK chart records if you care yo do some research.

Number in Top 40: Bowie 12, Elvis 12, Beatles 11, MJ 9, Kate 8, Prince 6

Number in Top 50: Bowie 14, Elvis 12, Kate Bush 11, Beatles 11, MJ & Prince 9

Number in Top 75: Bowie 17, Elvis 12, Prince 12, Kate Bush 11, Beatles 11, MJ 9

I have so hard tried to listen and to like Beyonce´s new album but it just does´t open to me. Only track that I feel that is Beyonce is "FORMATION". The other tracks are just like...uninteresting, not in any way danceable, making me wanna listen non stop like I did with "RUN THE WORLD (GIRLS)". I know that an artist and a musician has to grow and to go forward, experiment new things and to try to change the way to express themselves. But I just have to say, even though I have always loved Destiny´s Child and Beyonce and I still do but this new album just don´t cut it for me. I had so high expectations about this new album and when I first heard it I was like....what? Where is this artist that has given me / us so many great songs! I haven´t seen any of those videos and when / if I do the videos don´t change my mind! I´m so sorry to say all these things but that´s how I feel!

You just can´t compare Prince with Beyonce. They are so far apart musically. So different genres. Both are talented, both have great tracks and both have not so great tracks and I don´t mean this to say ill of the dead. They both have given us so many happy moments so there is no comparison. Don´t you agree?

Prince was not only a singer but a musician in a completely different league than anyone especially Beyonce. He will be missed it is just a pity people didn't buy his music as much as they are doing know he has passed away.

Biggest surprise for me is that The Stone Roses have charted, albeit right at the bottom. Interesting. A posthumous congrats to Prince for dominating the Top 10, even if he didn't have a Number 1 this week. you Beyoncé! ;)

Congratulations to Beyoncé on entering the albums chart at #1 with 'Lemonade'. Pleased to see the incredible response Princes' fan have shown to the great icon; 6 re-entries in the Top 40 (and 3 in the Top 5). I really hope Drake's 'Views' can do well next week (and possibly give him a chart double if 'One Dance' stays at the top of the singles chart!). :)

How many 'sales' are required to break into the top 100 albums. Queen's Greatest hits always in the bottom 75-100. While I thought the Platinum triple cd collection (vol 1-3) was selling better. .

Approx 1,000 - 1,250. For Example on 21 January David Bowie's Young Americans sold 1,261 to chart at 99.

My favourite group of all times : QUEEN. You should be happy that QUEEN is STILL in the chart even though it´s been like a 1000 years since they have released any new material. I read somewhere that Freddie kept on singing until his passing. So there has to be tracks that are ready to be released. I´m very happy that QUEEN still keeps on going strong when it comes to albums chart. Over 700 weeks and counting. I think that QUEEN´s Greatest Hits will be the first album ever to pass the 1000 weeks on the chart. How do you feel about it?

An appropriate week for 'You'll never walk alone' to be in the top 10 c/o Katherine Jenkins.
