With one or two (literally) exceptions, this chart is so very depressing. Surely album sales are a measure of the success of the marketing rather than the merit of the recording? So many superb album releases and we get this dross in the charts! The relevance of a top selling chart is surely questionable.

each album in the top 10 albums has peaked at #1... has this EVER happened before in the entire history of the UK charts??
