I have since bought the book. It is brilliant. Graham Betts has take great care over it.
OCC: It would be nice if you took the same care and corrected the mistakes. Salad Days should be #5 but you don't seem interested in fixing it. Frankly as your site is supposed to be the ultimate reference, I find this rather disppointing.

I have bought all the weekly-chart books up to 2009 and will add the 2010's soon. I didn't bother with The Hits books as that format is already covered by my old Guinness editions. There some errors in the Graham Betts books. Far fewer than the website, but they are still there. By checking, for example, the original physical record, and cross-referencing Guinness with OCC you can see that the same typo's and out-right errors (e.g. incorrect titles!) have been there for decades. Many of the website and old Guinness errors are corrected by Graham Betts, but some, such as accurate "Last Week" positions, week numbers and Cat. No. typos still remain.

Good to know, thanks. Yes I thought the Hits books looked similar to the Guinness ones. Am I right in thinking that Graham has only listed the Top 75 even when the chart was Top 100? Be a shame if that's the case.

Officially, it's only been a top 100 for Albums 1981-1989. All other charts for 1978 on top 75, not 100 and that is what is in the books. Although, they do publish 76-100 here after 1994. Music Week only print top 75s. Industry has used a top 100 to 200 since 1983.
