Will.I.Am and Britney Spears hold on to Official Streaming Chart lead

Brit.I.Am top the UK’s Official Streaming Chart for a second week running with Scream And Shout.

They may have lost their Number 1 position on the Official Singles Chart to Bingo Players FT Far East Movement’s Get Up (Rattle) last Sunday, but Will.I.Am and Britney SpearsScream And Shout is still the UK’s most listened to track!

The US duo spend a second week at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart. The Official Streaming Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, and is the only chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK.

The rest of the Top 5 remain static with 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur at Number 2 with Impossible, Bruno MarsLocked Out Of Heaven at Number 3, The Lumineers' Ho Hey at Number 4 and Rihanna’s Diamonds at Number 5.

New Entries

There are eight new entries on this week’s Official Streaming Chart, spearheaded by Macklemore and Ryan LewisThrift Shop FT Wanz. The track has already topped the singles sales charts in Australia, New Zealand and the US, and it makes its debut on the UK’s Official Streaming Chart at Number 50.

50 Cent’s My Life FT Eminem and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine is new in at Number 59, while Conor Maynard FT Wiley’s Animal debuts at 68. Justin Timberlake’s Suit And Tie FT Jay-Z enters at Number 73, Matrix and Futurebound’s Magnetic Eyes FT Baby Blue is at 76, and Biffy Clyro’s Black Chandelier is at 79.

The cast recording of One More Day, from Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of the hit musical Les Miserables, is new in at 77, while Samantha BarksOn My Own, which is also from the Les Mis cast recording, debuts at Number 98. In related news, one of Anne Hathaway’s contributions to the cast recording, I Dreamed A Dream, is one of this week’s highest climbers, up 25 places from Number 70 to Number 45.
