Will Jurassic World be the fastest selling DVD of the year?

Jurassic World is set to become one of the fastest selling DVD and Blu-ray releases of the year, the Official Charts Company can reveal.

The sci-fi adventure film – starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard - is heading for the Number 1 spot on this week’s Official Video Chart, with sales of 300,000 since its release on Monday.

It its sales momentum continues into the weekend, Jurassic World could topple current fastest-seller Fifty Shades Of Grey, which racked up 521,000 UK sales in its opening week back in June.

Other big first week sales this year include The Hobbit – Battle Of The Five Armies (477,000), Paddington (464,000) and Avengers – Age of Ultron (407,000).

Elsewhere in the Official Video Chart Update Top 10, the Jurassic Park Collection 1-4 lands at Number 4 today, trailed by Grimm – Season Four at 7.

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD – Season 2 (8) and Lego – Justice League – Attack of the Legion of Doom (9) are also set to enter this week’s Top 10.
