Wild Youth have issued a brand-new remix of their single Seventeen from Paul Kennedy, which completely transforms the existing song.

Co-written by British singer-songwriter JC Stewart and produced by Tristen from The Vamps, Seventeen was the first track taken from the band's upcoming EP.

The new remix from Paul Kennedy revitalises Seventeen, adding what is described as "an infectious dance beat" to the melancholic pop ballad.

Wild Youth comprise of childhood friends Conor O’Donohoe and David Whelan - who are the band's primary songwriter and lead vocalist, respectively - alongside Ed Porter and Callum McAdam.

Speaking to Hot Press last year, O'Donohoe said that the band don't prescribe to a single style or genre, rather they " always – maybe selfishly – make music that we want to make. We’re not afraid of having to stick in a certain lane, or do a certain thing because of what we’ve done previously."

The band sold out the Olympia Theatre themselves, supported Westlife during a massive gig at Croke Park, and have so far notched up an audience of over 120,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
