Get the right group of celebrities and industry "experts" together and the results can be television gold; get it wrong, and no amount of talent from the contestants will save it.
With various incarnations of X Factor, The Voice, Idol, Got Talent, etc a staple of TV schedules across the globe for over a decade, we've seen plenty of surprise faces pop up on judging panels - including rock stars, rappers and former members of a certain '90s girl group...
